Forwarding Exchange Emails

Overview

 This article will instruct on how to set up email forwarding for Exchange emails via Outlook Web App (OWA).

You will need:

  • Your NetID
  • Your NetID password

NOTE: Some Texas A&M Health affiliates may not be able to forward their Exchange emails to another account due to HIPAA regulations

Instructions

  1. Login to owa.tamu.edu
    1. The username is your NetID@tamu.edu 
    2. The password is your NetID password
  2. Select the gear button in the top right corner
  3. Select Options
  4. In the left menu, select Mail
  5. Under mail, select Inbox and Sweep Rules
  6. Select the plus sign  under Inbox Rules
  7. Options for New Inbox Rule:
    1. Under name select a name for the rule
    2. Under "When the message arrives, and it matches all of these conditions" select "It was sent or received"
    3. Select "Send to"
    4. Then type in the exchange email address next to "It was sent to..."
    5. Then under "Do all of the following" select "Forward, redirect, or send" then select "Forward the message to..."
    6. Then type in where you would like your message to be sent next to "Forward the message to..."
    7. Select save
