Overview

Information regarding TAMU Health VOIP phones, their self-care pages, and their voicemail web inbox.

In order to access the TAMU Health VOIP phone self-care pages and voicemail web inbox, you must be connected to the Texas A&M Health network. If you are not on-site, you can connect to the network using the TAMU Health VPN.

 

How do I reset my voicemail pin?

  1. If you are at the Dallas TAMU Health location, navigate to https://hsc-dcef-unity-1.voip.tamhsc.edu/inbox/. All other locations must navigate to https://hsc-rr-unity-1.voip.tamhsc.edu/inbox/.
  2. Log in using your HSCID username and password
  3. Click the Settings link
  4. Click the Passwords drop-down menu
  5. Select Change PIN.
    • Your new PIN must be at least six digits long

How do I access my voicemail remotely?

  1. Dial your own number
  2. When you are sent to voicemail press *
  3. Enter your ID (your phone number)
  4. Enter your pin(set as shown above)
  5. Press 3 to check messages

How do I configure my voicemail?

  1. Press the Messages button
  2. Enter your voicemail pin
    • For new Dallas users, enter 753951258.
    • For all other new users, enter 951753258.
  3. Follow the voice instructions to set up your personalized greetings and to change your password

How do I retrieve my voicemail?

On your Cisco VoIP phone, simply press the Messages button and follow the voice instructions. 

Alternatively, you can check your voicemail online. If you are at the Dallas TAMU Health location, navigate to https://hsc-dcef-unity-1.voip.tamhsc.edu/inbox/. All other locations must navigate to https://hsc-rr-unity-1.voip.tamhsc.edu/inbox/. Log in with your HSCID username and password.

How do I forward my calls?

Press the CFwdALL soft key, then dial the number your wish to forward your calls to. The phone display will be updated to indicate that call forwarding is turned on.

To cancel the forward, press the CFwdALL soft key.

How do I forward all my calls to voicemail?

Press the CFwdALL button then the Messages button.

To cancel the forward, press CFwdALL.

How do I set up a conference call?

  1. While on a call, press the More soft key
  2. Press the Confrn soft key
  3. Dial the number of the line you wish to join to the call
  4. When the call connects, press the Confrn soft key again

You can connect up to three callers.

How do I set up my speed dials?

  1. Navigate to myphone.tamhsc.edu
  2. Click the Cisco Unified Communications Self Care Portal link.
  3. Log in with your HSCID username and password
  4. Click Phone Settings
  5. Enter your desired numbers and labels
  6. When you have finished, print the list for easy reference.
  7. In order to use your abbreviated dials, enter the number of the abbreviated dial on the phone keypad. Then press the AbbrDial soft key.

How do I place a call on hold?

Press the Hold soft key to place the call on hold. To retrieve the call, press Resume.

How do I put a call on hold and place a call on a second line?

  1. Press the soft key located directly below the word Hold
  2. Press the soft key located directly below the words New Call to get a dial tone
  3. Dial the desired number

To return to the first caller:

  1. Press the soft key located directly below the word Hold to place the second caller on hold.
  2. Highlight the original caller's ID, then press the soft key located directly below the word Resume

How do I transfer a call?

During the call, push the Transfer soft key. This places the caller on hold. Next, dial the number to which you wish to transfer the call.

You can remain on the line until the party answers, or press the Transfer soft key again to complete the transfer right away. The transfer is not completed until you press the Transfer key again.

To cancel the transfer and return to the original call, press End Call then the Resume soft key.

How do I mute a call?

During a call, press the Mute button. The button will light up with a red color to indicate that the mute is active. To deactivate the mute, press Mute again.

How do I join an incoming call to an existing call?

  1. Answer the incoming call
  2. Press up on the navigation pad to select the original call which is now on hold
  3. Press the More button
  4. Press Join

Where can I view the User Guide for the Cisco VoIP phone for additional information?

  1. Navigate to myphone.tamhsc.edu
  2. Click the Cisco Unified Communications Self Care Portal link.
  3. Log in with your HSCID username and password
  4. Click Phone Settings
  5. Click on Download User Guide
