Voice Mail Instructions

Initial Set-Up

1. Dial 7-0004. VoIP users, dial 8-0200.
2. When asked for your passcode, enter 0000.
3. You will be prompted for a new passcode.
   1. Enter a new one, then press #.
4. To set up your greetings, select from these options:
   1. Change Busy Greeting - 2
   2. Change No Answer Greeting - 3

NOTE: To help ensure security, users must change their passcode every 120 days. Follow the voice mail system prompts to enter a new passcode.

Set-Up Calls to Forward to Voice Mail

All Calls

1. Access phone line and dial 123.
2. Enter 7-0004. VoIP users, enter 8-0200.
3. After return to regular dial tone, hang up and pick handset back up, and dial 121 to activate or 122 to deactivate.

Call Forwarding if Busy

1. Access phone line and dial 133.
2. Enter 7-0004. VoIP users, enter 8-0200.
3. After return to regular dial tone, hang up and pick handset back up, and dial 131 to activate or 132 to deactivate.

Call Forwarding if No Answer

1. Access phone line and dial 143.
2. Enter 7-0004. VoIP users, enter 8-0200.
3. After return to regular dial tone, hang up and pick handset back up, and dial 141 to activate or 142 to deactivate.

Accessing Voice Mail 

From Your Office Phone

1. Dial 7-0004. VoIP users, dial 8-0200.
2. Enter your passcode then press #. If prompted for your mailbox ID, enter the last five digits of your phone number.
3. Proceed with the needed prompts.

From Another Campus Phone

1. Dial 7-0004. VoIP users, dial 8-0200.
2. When prompted for the password, press *.
3. Enter your mailbox ID (five-digit extension).
4. Enter passcode then press #.
5. Proceed with needed prompts.

From an Off-campus Phone

1. Dial 847-0004. VoIP users, dial 458-0200.
2. Enter your mailbox ID (five-digit extension).
3. Enter in the passcode then press #.
4. Proceed with needed prompts.

Listening to Voice Messages

1. Play/Repeat Message - Press 1.
2. Skip back 3 seconds - Press 1.
3. Go back to beginning of message - Press 2.
4. Skip forward 3 seconds - Press 3.
5. Go to end of message - Press 9.
6. Pause Playback - Press 8.
7. Save Message - Press 2.
8. Delete Message - Press 3.
9. Forward Message - Press 5.
10. Return to Previous Message - Press 7.
11. Repeat Menu - Press 6.
12. Hear Additional Options - Press 8.
13. Return to Voice Mail Main Menu - Press *.
