Overview
Proxy accounts provide the ability to manage or access resources on behalf of someone else. There are several types of proxy accounts provided by Texas A&M Technology Services which are used for a variety of purposes. The Proxy Account Management tool at https://gateway.tamu.edu/proxy-edit/ is provided to allow easy management of these accounts.

- modify your NetID@tamu.edu forwarding/delivery address
- add Common Names to your account (searchable in the campus directory)
- modify your personal URL (listed in the campus directory)

Clicking the name of the account will display the account information, email settings, and account settings.
You also have the ability to edit the account. The Edit button will give you the following options:

Clicking the NetID of the resource will display the account information, email settings, and account settings for that resource. You can edit this information by clicking on the Edit button near the bottom of the page. Editing the account will give you the following options:

You can also change the password for that resource NetID by clicking on Set Password. Shared NetID Account passwords must be a minimum of 16 characters long, of mixed case letters, and include at least one special character (number, space, or symbol). Passwords are valid for two years after creation. If a delivery email address has been specified for the IT Resource credential, it and any listed proxies for that credential will receive password expiration warnings before the password expires.
Secondary NetID Accounts
The Secondary NetID tab will list the Secondary NetIDs you control. Secondary NetID Accounts are separate NetID accounts, used by an individual, to access restricted resources. These accounts are tied to the individual owner and will be disabled once the owner is no longer affiliated with Texas A&M University.
