Overview
Before you can use the Qualtrics survey tool, you must claim a Qualtrics account either through the self-service tool or through a Qualtrics administrator.
Qualtrics is centrally funded for System Parts 02 and 23. Participating System Parts outside of 02 and 23 are able to use the
https://tamu.qualtrics.com/ Qualtrics instance, though they may have their own Qualtrics portal (ex:
https://tamuag.qualtrics.com). Survey data in a branded Qualtrics portal instance will NOT be available in the TAMU Qualtrics instance. For more information please contact
softwarecenter@tamu.edu.
College-specific Qualtrics portals
Some colleges have Qualtrics portals specific to their college. Members of these colleges will need to use their college's portal to log into Qualtrics in order to access their surveys and projects. If you receive an error message when logging into Qualtrics that says you cannot log in from that IP address, make sure you are using the appropriate log in portal for your college. This error will typically appear when attempting to use your NetID credentials to log in via https://www.qualtrics.com rather than a branded Qualtrics portal.
Error message stating you cannot log in from this IP address.
Get Qualtrics Access Through Self-Service
- Go to http://tamu.qualtrics.com
- Select the Don't have an account link
- Enter your NetID@tamu.edu email address
- If you were given an access code from an administrator, input it on this screen
- Your account should now be created and you may attempt to log in by going to http://tamu.qualtrics.com
Note: This will create a Qualtrics account within the TAMU instance, which is managed by Technology Services. For assistance with accounts in this instance, please contact Help Desk Central at 979-845-8300 or helpdesk@tamu.edu.
Qualtrics Access through Qualtrics Administrator
Every college/department has a Qualtrics administrator that can assist in account creation and make sure the account is placed in the right instance of Qualtrics. A list of contacts is available on the Technology Services website. Contact your college or department's Qualtrics administrator to get access to the Qualtrics tool.
