Introduction
The following documentation will help you set up viewing for email headers in:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Gmail
- Mac Mail
- Outlook Web App (OWA)
- Mozilla Thunderbird
- Yahoo! Mail
- Pegasus Mail Clients
Microsoft Outlook
For Outlook Office 365, 2016, 2013, or 2010
- Double click on the message so that it pops out into its own window.
- Click File.
- Click Properties.
- The Internet Headers are displayed in a box near the bottom of the Properties window.
For Outlook 2007:
- Right-click on the email in question.
- Click Message Options at the bottom of the popup menu.
- The headers are in the Internet Headers section.

Gmail
- Log into Gmail or Texas A&M Gmail.
- Open the email you would like to view headers for.
- At the top of the message pane, click on the three dots next to the reply arrow.
- Click Show Original.

Mac Mail
- Select the message.
- Click View.
- Click Message.
- Click All Headers.
You can also press Command + Shift + H
Outlook Web App (OWA)
- Select the email you want to view headers for.
- On the upper right side of the page, click the down arrow to the right of the Reply button.
- Click View message details.
Mozilla Thunderbird
- Double click the email you want to view the headers on.
- Click View.
- Click Message Source.

Yahoo! Mail
- Once you are logged in, click on the message you wish to view the header on.
- At the top of the message, click the 3 dots next to Spam.
- Click View raw message.
Pegasus Mail Clients
- Right click on the message.
- Select Message Headers... from the menu.
