Office 2016 - Download Link for Windows

Overview

When trying to install or reinstall Office 2016 on a Windows computer, the user may receive an error when entering the product key at office.com/setup.

If the user receives an error message (such as 'product key is not recognized' or 'product key cannot be found in database'), they can use the direct link below that will install the office 'installer', which will then prompt the user for the product key once the installer is finished downloading.

Instructions

To (re)download Office 2016 on a Windows computer: 

1. Ensure there are not multiple versions of Office installed on the device (ex. Office 2016 Professional Plus, Office 365, Office 2010) 

   • Remove all versions of Office within the Add/Remove Programs tool in Settings.

2. Re-download the Office 2016 Pro Plus using the link found here: Office 2016 Download For Windows

3. The download can be activated from their product key found in their original software email

   • If they no longer have the Office email with product key, they can contact Help Desk Central and we can resend a previously purchased software to their email.
