Instructions
The most current version of the SAS 9.4 installation instructions with screen shots is available from the Software Center SharePoint.
- Mount all ISO files by double clicking on them, or right clicking on the file and choosing ‘Mount’. This should give them a drive letter as if they were a DVD. In the below example, Disk 1 has drive letter “G” assigned, Disk 2 has “F” and Disk 3 has “I”. These letters will be what you use in Step 15, when it asks to insert a disk.
- Open Disk 1, and it should show a list of folders and files.
- Run “setup.exe” (or “setup” if file extensions are not showing)
- Choose Language.
- Choose “Install SAS Software” and click “Next >”
- On the Select Deployment Type screen, make sure you change the option to “Install SAS Foundation and Related Software” Do NOT choose “Perform a Planned Deployment” This option will not work. You *must* choose “Install SAS Foundation and Related Software” and then click “Next >”
- On the Select Products to Install screen, unless you know the details needed, do not click any additional boxes. Leave the choice of Products to install on “SAS Foundation and related software”, and do not choose any boxes that are not checked by default unless you know all of the options that will be required to install them.
- On the Select SAS Foundation Mode , Select SAS Enterprise Guide Mode, Select SAS Foundation Products, and the Specify SAS Installation Data File screens, just click “Next >” without changing anything.
- On the Select Language Support screen, clear all, and then click any languages you would like installed, then click “Next >”
- On the Default Product for SAS File Types screen, click “Next >” unless you wish to change which product SAS will open SAS files with when you double click them.
- On the SAS Environments URL screen, if you have been provided with a URL to use, enter that. If you have not been provided with one, enter http://google.co
