Windows SPSS 28 License Renewal Instructions

Overview

SPSS is another statistical software package like SAS that allows you to generate various types of statistics on the research data that you have collected. As of December 28, 2022, the current version of SPSS provided by Technology Services is SPSS 28.

Instructions

1. 1. Get a copy of the SPSS license code by going to the following web address:

   2. You will be prompted for Username and Password to log into it. If you do not know what they are, please fill out the Departmental Form at:
      
      https://sell.tamu.edu/Forms/index.php
      
      You will then receive the Username and Password either on a handout or in an email, depending on how you submit the order form.    

   3. Enter the Username and Password and hit Submit. You will get a list of license codes for the different versions of SPSS. Keep this page open because you will need to get the code for SPSS 28 during the license renewal process.    

   4. To renew the SPSS license, click on:     Start  >  All Programs  >  IBM SPSS Statistics  >  IBM SPSS Statistics 28 License Authorization Wizard    

   5. At the License Status screen, click on Next.    

   6. At the Product Authorization screen, select License my product now and click on Next.      

   7. At the Enter Codes screen, enter the SPSS 28 license code that is listed on the webpage mentioned on line 3 and click on Next.     

   8. It will then print a message that the Authorization succeeded. This means that the SPSS license has been renewed. Click on Next and then Finish.
