Purpose:
When utilizing Aggieprint, periodically an error will arise about the document causing an "internal server error" due to the document containing attribute A4 or custom. This error is a result of printing to a paper size that is not supported by Aggieprint. This document outlines the steps to solve those issues on the users computer. Instructions are included for Mac and Windows.
Resizing Documents On Mac:
- Open "Preview"
- Open the document that is causing the error
- Choose File ->Export as PDF
- Verify the paper size for the document is supported by Aggieprint
- Letter size (8.5 x 11) is supported at all Aggieprint locations
- Legal (8.5 x 14) and Tabloid (11x17) are supported at select locations. Check with lab staff for clarification.
- Select "Save"
- Upload the document to Aggieprint
- Configure Aggieprint settings
- Release document from any Aggieprint location.
Resizing Documents On Windows:
- Open the document that is causing the error.
- Choose File -> Print
- Select the "Microsoft Print to PDF" Printer
- Verify the settings of the document and that the paper size is a supported size for Aggieprint
- Letter size (8.5 x 11) is supported at all Aggieprint locations
- Legal (8.5 x 14) and Tabloid (11x17) are supported at select locations. Check with lab staff for clarification
- Select Print
- Select the location to save the new document. It will be in PDF format.
- Upload this PDF to Aggieprint
- Configure the Aggieprint settings
- Release the document from any Aggieprint location.
