Overview
Respondus is available at no-cost to College Station, Galveston, and Qatar faculty and staff at the Texas A&M Software Center. Respondus is not available to students through the Texas A&M Software Center.
Students should expect a download link from their professors or visit the Respondus website.

Download Respondus
1. Go to https://software.tamu.edu and purchase your free copy of Respondus / Studymate.
2. Once purchased, you will receive and email with a link to download the software from sell@tamu.edu regarding Your Purchase: Respondus / Studymate 4.0. Click the link.
NOTE: The email may take 6-8 hours to arrive.
3. On the Identity Provider page, select your campus from the drop-down list, and click the Select button.
4. Enter your NetID and Password, and click Log in.
5. The Respondus5.zip file should begin to download automatically. If it does not, click the click here link to begin the download.
Install Respondus
1. Locate the Respondus5.zip file on your computer and unzip the file.
2. Locate the Respondus5 folder on your computer and open it.
3. Within the Respondus5 folder, locate the Respondus4Campus.exe file and open it.
4. Follow the InstallShield Wizard instructions to install Respondus.
5. Once you have completed the install, click Finish in the InstallShield Wizard window.
6. Locate the Respondus icon on your desktop. Double click Respondus to open the program.
7. You may be prompted to choose your CMS Personality before the program opens. Choose Blackboard 7.x to 9.x. If you are not prompted, select Blackboard 7.x to 9.x under Current Personality.
8. Before using Respondus, you must update your license. On the File menu, click Update License.
9. Enter the Institution Name, Local Support Contact, and Installation Password. This information is provided in the activation key pdf document included in the compressed zip file downloaded through the email confirmation of purchase. The file will be titled Respondus and StudyMate Activation Key for 201X - 201X.pdf.
