LifecycleLocked

A recently added lock is named "LifecycleLocked". This lock appears if no active affiliation is on the account. A former student affiliation is only an active account if it is within the two year window after graduation. member:instructore:future is not a current affiliation. If a "LifecycleLocked" is on the account, the former student affiliation is most likely more than two years.

To confirm this:
Either ask the user their last confirmed enrolled semester OR you can verify by going to Neoweb

This date is usually update the month after graduation:

  • If the date is September, the stuent graduated in the summer of that year
  • If they date is January, the student graduated in the fall of the previous year
  • If the date is June, the student graduated in the spring of that year

What is the campus member needing to do?

The campus member needs a transcript:

If the campus member has an active NetID, the system will not allow them to complete a former student questionnaire. The system thinks the user has an active account, but they have a lock that does not able the campus member to access the account.

In order to correct this problem, please send an incident to the netid-idmo, SYSE (TAMU) assignment group. We will delete the current NetID allowing the customer to obtain a transcript by completing the questionnaire.

The campus member says they have a new affiliation with the University:

If the campus member states they are a new employee, visiting scholar, or other affiliation and this affiliation is not show in Neoweb, the campus member will need to their department to complete a NetID Request Form.

If an affiliation is shown and they have a LifecycleLocked status, move the incident to the netid-idmo, SYSE (TAMU) assignment group.

The campus member wants temporary access to their email:

If a campus member wants to access email temporarily and no longer has an active affiliation, their department must grant permission via a NetID Request Form
