Description
The following article describes how to access campus intranet service (https://marhaba.qatar.tamu.edu) off-campus. The web service grants every eligible student, staff and faculty the access to campus news, events and request workflows off-campus.
Procedure
To access Marhaba, TAMUQ VPN connection is required. Connecting to TAMUQ VPN
1. After connecting over TAMUQ VPN, from your browser go to https://marhaba.qatar.tamu.edu
2. You will be prompted to enter your TAMUQ Username and Password. (*disable pop-up blocker to ensure you are prompted for login)
After login, you will land on intranet homepage.
Accessing Marhaba with Sharepoint
Below are the probable issues with their resolution:
- Below error means they are getting redirected to tamq.sharepoint.com, but the path they are trying to reach is incorrect, since the path from Marhaba is different from the SharePoint Online path.
Resolution:
- the user needs to go to https://tamuq.sharepoint.com and then navigate to the specific site
- If the user still has an issue using the above link, then, most likely, they are logged onto the browser tab with another login (eg. their gmail account). In this case, have user open an incognito window and go to https://tamuq.sharepoint.com and log in with their TAMUQ windows account.
- User gets an access denied error
Resolution: The user does not have access to the site. Please open a service desk ticket and I can give the access.
