Description

Microsoft Teams helps you to connect with your team member using your Microsoft account. Login to Microsoft Teams with your TAMUQ email address and password.

You can invite the following approved non-domain email addresses as guest collaborators to your Teams groups. Upon receiving the invite, your collaborators will receive instructions on installing Teams and accessing your Teams groups.

1) Go to https://office.com

2) Log in with your TAMUQ email address and password

Use Teams on Web Browser

To access Microsoft Teams online,

1) Go to http://teams.microsoft.com/

2) Log in with your TAMUQ Email address and Password

3) Turn on the notification from the pop-up shown at the lower right hand corner

To collaborate, go to Collaborate on files in Microsoft Teams
To share a file, go to Share a file in Teams

Managing Teams

You may change your team's setting, add more members, add a profile picture, edit team name, etc.

To add more members, a code can be generated that will allow users to access or send a request to join the team. You can find this code in the Manage team section.

1. Click the three dots next to your Team name and click Manage team.

2. Go to Settings and click Team code to open the list, then click Generate to generate/create a code. You may send this code to users you want to add in the team.

Add members to a team in Microsoft

If you're a team owner, go to the team name in the teams list and click More options > Add member.
Start by typing a name, distribution list, security group, or a Microsoft 365 group. You can also add people outside your org as guests by typing their email addresses.
When you're done adding members, select Add. You can make someone a team owner by selecting the down arrow next to Member. A team can have multiple owners. For more about roles and permissions, see Team owner and member capabilities in Teams.
Select Close. People that you add to a team will receive an email letting them know they are now a member and the team will appear in their teams list.
