Phone Services

TAMUQ IT provides telephones that work with our Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communication system. TAMUQ IT provides VOIP services letting users manage messaging and phone calls over the Internet by converting analog audio signals into digital data. 

Eligibility
Faculty and non-research staff

Request
For eligible staff, IT will automatically request a phone after IT in-processing is complete.

Prerequisite
Notification from HR of employment status; Visit Service Desk with HR New Employee Orientation Checklist form. Pre-existing wired wall jack available in the room.

Policy
IT provides an office phone for a faculty and non-research staff who has an employment agreement for more than six months if the department head approves it. Phone features (international calling access and mobile phone calling access) are approved by the department head and costs for these services are billed to the department.

SLA
90% of requests are fulfilled within three workdays.
