Holiday Calculator FY27 - Download Copy

Overview

The Holiday Calculator for Accrued Vacation is used to determine eligible holiday hours that occur during an employee's accrued vacation period after their last day worked in an eligible position. The calculation considers the employee's available vacation balance and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) percentage to determine and prorate applicable holiday hours.   The workbook includes accessibility features to support keyboard navigation and screen-reader users.

Instructions

Holiday hours due are calculated starting the day after last day worked in the eligible position and goes forward in time to include any holidays falling within the time frame of the employee's available vacation hours. Allocation of vacation hours per day is determined by the FTE percentage. Holiday hours are prorated based upon the FTE percentage. Refer to System Regulation.

NOTE: These instructions are the same for all supported versions of the Holiday Calculator for Accrued Vacation, including TAMU, TAMUQ, School of Law, and School of Dentistry.

The Holiday Calculator for Accrued Vacation is based on the Texas A&M University System's Vacation Regulation, which establishes the uniform administration of vacation leave for eligible employees in accordance with state law.
