Workday Link Missing in SSO Menu for Active Employee

Issue
  • When an active employee logs into the SSO system, the Workday link is missing from their SSO menu. The Workday Help link may be available, but the Workday link itself is not visible.
     
Details
  • This issue occurs when an employee has a termination action (e.g., a student job position that ended, a job at any Texas A&M System Member that ended without transferring to a new position, or a resignation) on their Workday account.
  • There is an integration set to remove the Workday link from SSO for any employee accounts that ended three years ago, but it does not recognize if the employee may have been rehired within that time period. This causes the Workday link to be removed from their SSO menu. The integration that checks for the termination date and removes the link runs once a day.

 

Resolution Steps
  • Temporary Access:
  • Permanent Fix:
    • The System Offices check a report for these situations and removes the expiration date on the account for any employees that have become active again so that Workday will be added back in for the employee.
  • Expected Resolution Time:
    • The Workday link should be back on the SSO menu the next day. If the issue persists, please reach out to hrnetwork@tamu.edu.
