Assistant Librarian

• The Assistant Librarian, under direction, participates in the development and implementation of Library programs and services to meet the needs of students and faculty. Maintains knowledge of library technology applications, resources, copyright, systematic reviews, and other issues/ trends in the libraries and/or archives. May perform tasks in one or more functional areas within the Library.

Associate Librarian

• The Associate Librarian, under direction, coordinates the development and implementation of Library programs and services to meet the needs of students and faculty. Coordinates and/or provides expertise to the functions and responsibilities of an area. Assists in the recruitment and staff development of Library staff members.

Full Librarian

• The Full Librarian, under direction, manages, and/or provides expertise to a functional area within the University Libraries. Plan, develops, and manages Library functions and performs specialized Library work. Supervises Library personnel.

Library Associate I

• The Library Associate I, under general supervision, provides advanced customer support and performs complex library functions in one or more library units. May supervise subordinate staff and student employees. 

Library Associate II

• The Library Associate II, under general supervision, provides the most advanced customer support and most complex library functions in one or more library units. Provides expert support and guidance for programs and projects. May instruct and guide subordinate staff and student employees. 

Library Specialist I

• The Library Specialist I, under supervision, provides general customer service and other basic library functions in one or more library units. Under close supervision, learns more advanced library functions.

Library Specialist II

• The Library Specialist II, under general supervision, provides general customer service and standard or routine library functions related to various specialized disciplines. Performs standard library functions in one or more library units. Under supervision, learns intermediate and more advanced library functions.

Library Specialist III

• The Library Specialist III, under general supervision, performs general library and customer service functions.

Assistant University Librarian

• The Assistant University Librarian, under direction, assists in providing overall leadership and plans, develops, and administers a wide range of Librarian services. Participates in strategic planning and provides leadership and guidance in carrying out plans related to the accomplishment of the strategic plan, institutional goals, objectives, and Library-wide strategic objectives. Provides input and/or creates the annual budget and performs other related fiscal duties including management reporting and ensuring cost effectiveness in Library areas. Serves as a member of the University Libraries leadership team under the direction of the University Librarian.

Associate University Librarian

Librarian Director

• The Librarian Director, under direction, provides leadership, direction, and technical expertise to a functional unit within the University Libraries. Plans, develops, and administers Library functions and advises and consults on Library issues. Supervises Library personnel. 

Manager, Library

• The Library Manager, under direction, trains and provides performance monitoring for Library employees and supervisors. Provides leadership for multiple library units or functions.

Supervisor, Library

• The Library Supervisor, under direction, provides supervision to front line staff and coordinates the work of the unit on projects. Provides guidance for complex library functions.

University Librarian

• The University Librarian, under direction, reports to the Provost and is a member of executive leadership team. The University Librarian provides leadership, fosters strategic collaborations, and drives organizational effectiveness to help the University Libraries achieve its mission

Curator

• The Curator, under direction, oversees training and supervision of personnel and assists in personnel management. Acquires, researches, and manages collections. Plans, organizes, interprets, and presents exhibitions and lectures.
