Qualtrics - User Account Creation

Overview

The sign-in page at https://tamu.qualtrics.com/ present sthe option to sign into Qualtrics using either Single Sign-On or a stand-alone Qualtrics account. Members of Texas A&M university should use the Single Sign-On option. When a Qualtrics administrator creates a new account for a TAMU individual, they will need to create the account as a Single Sign-On account using the instructions below

Qualtrics is centrally funded for System Parts 02 and 23.  Participating System Parts outside of 02 and 23 are able to use the https://tamu.qualtrics.com/ Qualtrics instance, though they may have their own Qualtrics portal (ex: https://tamuag.qualtrics.com). Survey data in a branded Qualtrics portal instance will NOT be available in the TAMU Qualtrics instance. For more information please contact softwarecenter@tamu.edu.

Creating a Single Sign-On Account

Creating a Single Sign-On user requires specific formatting of the Username during the account creation process.

1. Go to https://tamu.qualtrics.com/.
2. Click the option labeled My organization's single sign-on (SSO).
3. Log in using your Qualtrics admin account (this should be your NetID and NetID password).
4. Click Create a New user in the upper right.
5. Enter the new Username in the format NetID@tamu.edu#tamu. This format creates an account named NetID@tamu.edu in the TAMU Qualtrics tenet.
   1. A NetID is used to sign into https://cas.tamu.edu.
   2. Do not use an alias email address, this will fail. You must use NetID@tamu.edu. 
6. Enter all other information normally.

Single Sign-On account created in this matter will use the Single Sign-On (SSO) method to sign into Qualtrics as outlined in this document.
