These instructions apply to mobile phones running iOS 6.0 or greater and have already been set up to use mobile email. The instructions describe how to add an email account that will allow the synchronization of email, contacts, and calendars with the TAMUQ IT Exchange.
Due to the physical differences of mobile phones that run the iOS software, even the same version, these instructions may not appear exactly as they would on your iPhone or iPad. If you have trouble progressing through these instructions and require assistance, please call Technology Services at 4423-0009, and we will help guide you through setting up your particular phone.
1. First, ensure that you are connected to your respective wireless network if you are on-campus. See instructions: Connecting to TAMUQ WiFi.
2. Navigate to your device Settings and click on the Mail tab, as shown below, then Accounts.
3. Click on Add Account.
4. Select Microsoft Exchange
5. Enter your TAMUQ email address, e.g., firstname.lastname@qatar.tamu.edu. For the description, it will auto-fill to Exchange once clicked. Then, select Next.
6. Select Sign In.
7. Once verified, click on Save. Your TAMUQ Email account will be added to your iOS Mail app.
Note: TAMUQ TS recommends using Microsoft Outlook for Android to ensure compatibility and avoid potential disruptions once Microsoft makes security enhancements.
