Description
Texas A&M University NetID is a service managed by TAMU Technology Services in College Station.
This article describes different ways on how to change or update a TAMU account password. As your password expiration nears, you will receive a reminder via email to change it.
Password Complexity Requirements:
- Do not include personal information
- Must be at least eight characters in length
- Must contain characters from three of the following:
* English uppercase and lowecase characters (A through Z)
* Non-alphabetic characters or numbers (for example, !, $, #, %, 1,2,3,4)
- Complexity requirements are enforced when passwords are changed or created.
Procedures
In-person
Bring your TAMUQ ID or any valid picture to Technology Services in room 137, Sun-Thu, 7:30AM – 6:30PM.
Online (Self-Service Password Reset)
- Open a browser and go to https://pass.tamu.edu
- Enter your UIN and Date of Birth
- Enter the Access Code.


- If you set-up Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR), the access code will be send to your registered email address (non-TAMUQ email).
- If you did not set SSPR and need an access code, visit the Service Desk in room 137
