Technology Services recognizes the need for users to use Macintosh for their work. However, given the complexity of just supporting one operating system, support for other systems is currently limited. However, as our organization grows, support levels will be revised and extended accordingly. Please review the official TAMUQ Technology Services Macintosh Support Policy regarding support for Mac users on our campus environment.
NB: This article highlights the steps to complete your initial Mac desktop environment on either iMac or Mac book pro.
Procedure
After installing your OS, you will need to perform the following actions to finish the setup. If on-campus, from network preferences, connect to your preferred network, "Staff" or "Student." If you are a guest, you can open a Safari browser and log in with your email on the Guest login page.
Setting up your desktop environment:
