How to Use the Service Catalog to Request Service

Overview
This article provides a guide on how to use the Service Catalog to request services (submit a ticket) from Human Resources & Organizational Effectiveness. It explains how to access the Service Catalog, select the appropriate service category, fill out the request form, and submit it. Additionally, it offers tips for finding services and provides contact information for further assistance.
 
Access the Service Catalog

Access the Service Catalog by clicking the Open Service Catalog button on the HROE Service Portal homepage or clicking Services in the maroon navigation bar.

Search the Service Catalog
You can search the Service Catalog in several ways:
  1. Click the Search link in the gray menu bar to search for a specific topic.  This feature will search through the Service Catalog and Knowledge Base articles in the HROE Service Portal.
    • You can also search for keywords specifically related to the Service Catalog by clicking the globe button in the top right of the portal and selecting Service Catalog.
    • Enter keywords that match what you're looking for, like "hyrbrid work" or "paycheck questionand click the search button.
  2. Browse categories and articles within them from the Service Catalog.
  3. Click My Recent Requests, Popular Services, or My Recently Visited Services in the right sidebar.
     
Request a Service or Get Help
  1. In the HROE Service Catalog, select the appropriate category for the service you need to request. Continue to select from each subcategory to find the service you need. *If you are having trouble locating the appropriate service to meet your needs, you can perform a quick search by using the search bar in the top right.
  2. Once you have reviewed the information about the service you would like to request, click the Request Service button on the right-hand side.
  3. Once you do this, a form will be displayed with several fields for you to complete related to your new request. To view additional explanations about any of the fields, select the Show Help link at the top right or click the question mark symbol next to each field. This will display more information about each required field.
  4. After filling out the required fields, select Submit at the bottom of the page and your request (ticket) will be sent to the correct Human Resources’ team for fulfillment. As the requester, you will receive an email notification from hrtickets@tamu.edu with the details of your request.
