Flexible Work Arrangements

Overview

Staff (non-faculty) requests for Alternate Work Location (AWL) arrangements within the United States must be submitted in Workday for routing and approval. Alternate Work Location guidelines should be reviewed, and employee/manager should consult with each other regarding the request along with completing trainings prior to submitting in Workday. To submit an AWL request for remote or hybrid work arrangements, use the Request Flexible Work Arrangement business process in Workday.

Eligibility
Eligibility for flexible work arrangements, including remote and hybrid work, depends on job role suitability, satisfactory performance, and managerial approval. Employees must comply with relevant policies and complete any required training. Specific requirements may vary by department, so it’s important to consult with your manager and review the Alternate Work Location guidelines.
