Employee Departure Notification

Overview
The Employee Departure Notification service assists Texas A&M University departments in reporting and managing the departure of employees, ensuring a smooth transition and proper handling of all necessary procedures.
Use this service request to ask questions about:
  • Notification Process: Understand the steps required to report an employee’s departure, including resignation, retirement, or termination.
  • Exit Procedures: Get guidance on the necessary exit procedures, such as returning university property, final payroll processing, and benefits termination.
  • Documentation Requirements: Learn about the required documentation for different types of departures and how to submit them.
  • Final Pay and Benefits: Inquire about the processing of final paychecks, unused leave payouts, and continuation of benefits.  If you are Transferring to another state agency your sick leave and vacation will be transferred to your employer.  Vacation payouts are typically issued on the bi-weekly pay date following the employee’s final paycheck.
  • Clearance and Access: Ensure proper clearance of university access, including deactivation of IDs, email accounts, and access to university systems.
Eligibility
This service is available to all Texas A&M University departments needing to report the departure of an employee, regardless of the reason for departure.
