Benefit & Retirement Services at Texas A&M University assist employees in planning and preparing for retirement, ensuring a smooth transition and providing a foundation of retirement income. Eligibility

Staff and faculty working 50% or more for 4.5 months or longer are eligible to participate in TRS. Generally, faculty and administrative level staff working 100% effort are eligible to participate in ORP in lieu of TRS.  

All TAMUS employees are eligible to participate in additional savings options, the Tax Deferred Account (TDA) or Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP).
