Ask an Overpayment Question

Overview
The Overpayment service helps Texas A&M University employees and departments resolve payroll overpayment issues, ensuring any incorrect payments are promptly addressed and corrected. Payroll staff work with departments to calculate the overpayment, cancel incorrect payments, and reverse direct deposits where applicable. 
Use this service request to ask questions about:
  • Calculate Overpayment Amount: Request the calculation of how much an employee owes due to overpayment caused by payroll errors such as incorrect timesheets or compensation changes.
  • Overpayment Cancellations: Work with Payroll staff to cancel incorrect payments before they are processed.
  • Direct Deposit Reversal: Request the reversal of direct deposit payments in case of overpayment.
Eligibility
Overpayment services are available for all Texas A&M employees who have been overpaid due to payroll errors or changes in employment status. Departments are encouraged to contact Payroll immediately upon discovering an overpayment issue.
