We provide assistance to employees seeking to make a change to their benefits within 31 days of a qualifying life eventA qualifying life event is defined as Marriage, Divorce or Legal Separation, Birth or Adoption, Change Due to Spouse Open Enrollment, Gain or Loss of Other Coverage, Beneficiary Change, Dependent Daycare Provider Cost/Hour Change, Death of a Family Member, Medicaid Change, ORP Vendor Change, TDA Plan Change.

Eligibility
Staff, faculty, and graduate assistant employees working 50% effort or more for 4.5 months or longer are eligible to participate in Texas A&M University System-sponsored health, dental, vision, life, dependent life, flexible spending accounts, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment plans.
Eligibility for Benefit Changes
Benefit eligible employees, retirees, and graduate fellows are eligible to make a change to their benefits within 31 days of a qualifying life event. Qualifying life events are outlined here.  Life insurance, beneficiaries, and supplemental retirement accounts may be changed at any time during the year without a qualifying life event.
