Ask a Background Check Question

Overview
The Requesting Background Checks service allows hiring managers and HR professionals at Texas A&M University to initiate and manage background checks.  Criminal Background Checks can be requested for faculty, volunteers, and others not using the Hire/Onboarding form in Laserfiche  by Submitting a Background Check Request.   For assistance, please contact your HR Customer Support Hub.
Use this service request to ask questions about:
  • Monitor Background Check Progress: Track the status of background checks and receive updates on their completion.
  • Contingent hires: Request approval.
Eligibility

In accordance with Texas A&M University Rule 33.99.14.M1:

  • Criminal background checks are required for all finalists for employment.
  • Background checks may be performed on internal and external applicants, existing employees, and volunteers for any program or event.
