Overview

Perplexity allows you to export your research threads, conversations, and account data in multiple formats. Whether you need to save a single thread for offline access or request a complete backup of your account data, Perplexity provides flexible export options to meet your needs. This guide explains how to export individual threads and how to request a full account data export.

Exporting Individual Threads and Research

You can access your research threads, pages, and collections (Spaces) offline using these methods.

Export an Entire Thread as a Document

1. Click on a specific thread in Perplexity.
   
   
    
2. In the upper right corner of your screen, click the three dots to the left of the Share button (top right of the thread).
3. Select Export as PDF, Export as Markdown, or Export as DOCX to download a formatted document.
   
   

Copy a Chat Conversation or Thread

1. Click the copy button at the end of each chat interaction you want to save and paste it into a local document.
2. Or, highlight all the text within the thread, copy it (Ctrl + C / Cmd + C), and paste it into a local document. (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).

Official Account Data Request (Full Export)

1. Sign in to your Perplexity account.
2. Click your name in the lower left corner of the screen.
3. Select Help.
4. Click Contact Support.
   
   
    
5. Click Account in the settings menu.
   
   
    
6. Find the Data Export option and click Export my data.
   
   
    
7. Perplexity sends a message with the download link to your Texas A&M University email address. Check your inbox for the email.
8. Download the zip file containing all your account data.
9. Verify the contents of the archive before deleting any conversations or closing your account. Ensure all important data is present and intact.

Perplexity Enterprise Pro Licenses

Please note: Only ACTIVE students and employees can access these Perplexity licenses. If you purchase a license and leave the university, you will lose access and will not get a refund. If you will be graduating soon or leaving the university, please export any files you need for the future.

• Students and Employees: Purchase Perplexity licenses with a personal credit card in the Software Store. You must be logged in with your Texas A&M NetID to see Perplexity in the store.
