Introduction
Perplexity Enterprise Pro provides a suite of powerful features designed to enhance your research, information retrieval, and task automation. Use Many Different AI Models
Perplexity grants access to multiple advanced AI models, including GPT-5.6 Terra and Nemotron 3 Ultra, allowing you to select the tool best suited to your task.
- Best Mode: Perplexity's default model automatically selects the most appropriate model for each request you submit. When using Best Mode, you can chat without quota limits and enjoy unlimited searches.
- Other Models: All models other than Best Mode operate under a token limit of 400 searches per week.
Ground Your Search in Academic Literature or Your Files
Perplexity offers two specialized search modes to help you find information tailored to your specific needs.
Academic Search Mode
Academic Mode functions as a filter that restricts your search to academic papers and databases rather than conducting a broad web search. This mode is ideal when you require scholarly sources and research-backed answers.
Use Academic Mode when you need:
- A literature overview for a topic
- Research paper discovery
- More technical, discipline-specific answers
- Citations to scholarly sources
- Help finding authors, publication years, journals, DOI links, methods, or key findings
Your Files Search Mode
Your Files Mode allows you to search and extract information directly from documents you upload or connect to Perplexity.
Connect Perplexity to Your Files
Perplexity connectors enable you to link your Texas A&M Microsoft or Google account directly to Perplexity's AI search, giving the system access to your stored files without uploading them manually each time.
Connector Limits and Capabilities
When using connectors, you can:
- Connect up to 5,000 files from your linked accounts (up to 50 MB each)
- Attach up to 30 files (up to 50 MB each) to a single session
- Perform up to 100 file attachments per week
When to Use Connectors
Use connectors when:
- You need answers from your own files
- You want to search and summarize information across multiple files
- You need current information rather than a general web answer
Do not use connectors when:
- A public web search or normal chat answer is sufficient
- The information is highly sensitive
- You only need to reference one document; uploading it is simpler

Perplexity Computer: A Digital Worker
Perplexity Computer is an autonomous agent designed to complete multi-step tasks on your behalf. Unlike standard chat interactions, Computer can plan complex workflows, delegate subtasks to helper agents, connect to external tools, and run operations in the background before delivering finished results to you.
- Your Enterprise Pro license includes 500 credits per month for Computer tasks.
- At this time, additional credits cannot be purchased. You must wait until your allocation renews the following month.

Work with Your Files in Projects
Projects provide a dedicated workspace where you can organize, collaborate, and conduct research using your own files. By uploading files and connecting external sources to a Project, you give Perplexity's AI search richer context and more relevant information to work with.
Per Project limits:
- Upload up to 500 files (up to 50 MB each)
- Connect to external sources using easy-to-use connectors
- Choose which domains to include in your searches
How Project Context Works
When you create a Project, the assistant receives persistent context from the Project's instructions, description, files, and connected sources. This context guides how the assistant answers questions within that Project and makes responses more relevant to the Project's specific subject matter.
What Is Project-Only
Project files and instructions are available context, not an exclusive boundary for AI search. By default, Perplexity may still search beyond your Project materials to provide comprehensive answers. If you want responses constrained to Project materials only, explicitly instruct the assistant with statements such as:
- "Answer only from files in this Project."
- "Use only the Project instructions and uploaded documents."
- "Do not search the web or use external sources."
When you provide these instructions, Perplexity treats all material outside the Project as out of scope.
Create a Project
To create a new Project, click the + icon in the interface, then navigate to Projects and select Create new Project.
