Creating a Password for Your Website
To password protect your web page, you must create a properly formatted htaccess file. For instructions and assistance in creating an htaccess file, please see the Apache website.

Listing your Web Page in the TAMU Directory:

1. Go to http://gateway.tamu.edu.
2. Click Directory Info.
3. Locate the Personal Web Page section.
4. Enter your web address.
5. Click Save.
6. Your web address is now viewable in the TAMU Directory along with your other directory information.
