Tenable - Running Reports

Overview

 Tenable Security Center provides simple and flexible reporting. Reports can be run on demand or on a scheduled basis. They can be provided in PDF, RTF, and CSV file formats.

Instructions

Running a report

1. Log in to Tenable Security Center.
2. Click on Reporting and select Reports from the drop-down menu.
3. Choose which report you would like to run. Default reports are:
   1. Critical and Exploitable Vulnerabilities Report
   2. Monthly Executive Report
   3. Remediation Instructions by Host Report
4. Click the Play Triangle on the right side of the report line. You should have a message briefly appear stating that the report has been started.

View report results

1. In the Reporting section of Tenable Security Center, click on Report Results.
2. If the report is still running, a green progress bar will be displayed under "Status" indicating which step of the report is currently being run.
3. If the report is complete, click the Download Icon on the right side of the report to download it to your browser's default download folder.

You can open the report in an appropriate application (Adobe Reader, Microsoft Excel, etc.) to view the content of the report.

Custom reports

Tenable Security Center provides the ability to create custom reports tailored specifically for your needs and audience. Due to the large variety of report types and options, please refer to Tenable's documentation on Reporting for information on creating a custom report.
