TAMU_WiFi Android setup (TAMU_Welcome)

Introduction

Android interfaces vary by manufacturer and version. Menu layouts and settings may look different from the screenshots in this guide, but core functionality remains the same.

Tip: If you can't find a specific setting, use the search function in your Settings app.

Instructions

  1. Open your WiFi settings and select TAMU_WELCOME from the list of available wireless networks.
  2. Open your web browser, and you should be redirected automatically to the page below, select I have a NetID and Password.
    NOTE: If it does not, open a browser and navigate to https://cloud.securew2.com/public/05075/TAMU_WiFi/.
  3. Click on Join TAMU_WIFI.
  4. This will redirect you to the TAMU_WIFI Installer. Click Download next to step 1 to install the required application.
  5. When you tap on Download, the Google Play Store will open and you will need to select Install.
  6. Tap Accept if prompted for app permissions.
  7. Once the SecureW2 application installation finishes, return to your web browser and select JoinNow on the same page you opened before. If it does not, open a browser and navigate to https://cloud.securew2.com/public/05075/TAMU_WiFi/.
  8. The SecureW2 application will be brought up, and the configuration will be downloaded. When prompted, enter your NetID and NetID password. Then click Continue.
  9. Select Save to save the network to your phone.
  10. Once the setup process is completed successfully, the TAMU_WIFI network will show as Connected.
