TAMU_WiFi MacOS setup (TAMU_Welcome)

Instructions

  1. Go to the Wi-Fi network selection screen on your Mac and choose the TAMU_WELCOME network.
  2. A window will automatically open and direct you to the screen below.
    NOTE: If it does not, open a browser and navigate to https://cloud.securew2.com/public/05075/TAMU_WiFi/.
  3. Select I have a NetID and password.
  4. You'll be redirected to the installer page for your operating system. It should automatically detect that you are on macOS; if not, next to Select your device: choose macOS from the dropdown menu.
  5. Select JoinNow to download the TAMU_WIFI Installer.
    • You'll be redirected to the installer page for your operating system. It should automatically detect that you are on macOS.
    • Select JoinNow to download the TAMU_WIFI Installer.
  6. A window containing the TAMU_WIFI installer should appear when the download finishes. If it does not, check the folder where you downloaded the installer to and look for a file that says TAMU_WIFI.dmg. Once this folder is open, double-click on the SecureW2 icon.
  7. You may be prompted to confirm that you want to open the app. Click Open to proceed. If you are not prompted for this, proceed to the next step.
  8. Enter your Rutgers NetID and NetID Password on the window that appears and click Next.
  9. Depending on which macOS your device is running, the system may require you to install the profile in your System Preferences.
    • If so, enter your device password when prompted.
    • Click OK
  10. Click Next to proceed with installing the profile in your System Preferences. Click the link in the window for a video walk-through of the next steps.
  11. You'll be prompted to install the profile in your System Preferences. Depending on your operating system, do one of the following:
    • In the Profiles window that opens, double-click on the TAMU_WIFI profile. Then click Install, and click Install again.
    • Or, click Install in the window that appears.
  12. Use your device credentials to confirm you want to make this change.
  13. Wait for the installer to connect and authenticate.
  14. The installer may ask to access your keychain. If it does, select Always Allow.
  15. You'll see a Joined message at the end of the installation process. Click Done.

Your computer should now be configured to connect to TAMU_WIFI.
