TAMU WiFi for Android

Overview

Connecting to the Texas A&M wireless network TAMU_WiFi on Android devices is straightforward. Be aware that Android devices may differ in specific system form layouts, so a given device may not match our instructions or images exactly. Instructions

  1. Open your Settings menu.
  2. Go to Network & internet and tap Wi-Fi
  3. Tap TAMU_WiFi from the list of available networks. 

  4. Enter the following information on the TAMU_WiFi configuration screen. Most fields should be prefilled. 
    1. EAP Method: PEAP
    2. Phase 2 Authentication: None (If None is not an option, select MSCHAPv2 or MSCHAP-v2.)
    3. CA Certificate: Use system certificates (Google Pixel devices) or Do Not Verify (other Android devices). Pixel devices will also have the two following fields appear:
      1. Minimum TLS Version: 1.2
      2. Online Certificate Status: Do not verify
    4. Domain: (If asked) tamu.edu
    5. Identity: your NetID
    6. Anonymous Identity: Leave this field blank
    7. Password: your NetID password
       
  5. Tap Connect or Save. If you successfully connected, the word Connected should show up under TAMU_WiFi in your networks list.
