TAMU WiFi for iOS

Introduction

The following information is needed to set up TAMU_WiFi wireless network on your iOS device:

  • Username: your NetID
  • Password: your NetID password

Connecting to TAMU_WiFi

  1. On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Make sure your Wi-Fi is switched On. You will now see a list of available network choices. Tap TAMU_WiFi.
  4. You will now be asked to enter your NetID in the username field and your NetID password in the password field 
  5. You will now be presented with a “Certificate” screen. Tap Accept or Trust.
  6. You have now connected to TAMU_WiFi. To verify your connection, look for a check mark next to “TAMU_WiFi” under the list of available connections.

Using Provision Tool to join TAMU_WiFi

  1. To automatically configure TAMU_WiFi, click here using Safari on your iOS device.
  2. Enter your NetID and NetID password. Tap JoinNow.
  3. Tap Allow on the screen that says "This website is trying to download a configuration profile. Do you want to allow this?" This must be done quickly before the page reloads.
  4. Tap General, then tap Profile 
  5. Tap the profile Eduroam (If the profile is not there, repeat steps 1-5 and make sure to tap Allow at step 3.) 
  6. Tap Install at the top right corner.
  7. You will get a warning message. "Installing the certificate "USERTrust RSA Certification Authority" will add it to the list of trusted certificates...  Tap Install again. 
  8. Tap Done in the top right corner. After this, you should be connected to TAMU_WiFi.
