Infoblox - Using 2-factor authentication

Overview

2-Factor authentication is required for access to Infoblox. However, Duo 2-Factor authentication does not behave the same with Infoblox as it does with usual CAS sites. You will not be presented with options to choose Push, Call me, or Send me a passcode. To use Push notifications, YubiKey authentication, an authentication code, or telephone authentication, please refer to our article on specifying an authentication method without an interface

Troubleshooting

Duo authentication request does not initiate and returns an invalid login message.

This is an indication that the Duo authentication process itself is failing. An authentication failure will return a failed login message immediately. A delay of 60 seconds indicates that there is a problem with Duo.

An invalid login message is returned immediately. A connection to Duo is not apparent.

This is an indication that Duo has temporarily locked your account. Temporary locks are 15 minutes in length and are triggered after 7 failed login attempts using Duo.

The Infoblox login page does not load.

Infoblox will temporarily block your IP address from connecting to it after 15 consecutive login failures. This temporary block will last 15 minutes.
