Introduction
This article discusses campus wireless connection to TAMU_WiFi for mobile devices.
TAMU_WiFi for Android
NOTE: In order to use the TAMU_WiFi network on your Android device, you must use an Android operating system that is Version 1.6 or greater.
- In the Settings menu, go to Network & internet and tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap TAMU_WiFi from the list of available networks.
- Most of these settings should be filled in automatically, but if not enter the following information then tap Connect:
a. EAP Method: PEAP
b. Phase 2 Authentication: None (If None is not an option, select MSCHAPv2 or MSCHAP-v2.)
c. CA Certificate: (unspecified) or Do Not Verify
- For Android 13, CA certificate should be Use system certificates.
- For Android 13, Online Certificate Status should be Do Not Verify.
d. Identity: your NetID
e. Anonymous Identity: Leave this field blank
f. Password: your NetID password
g. Domain: (If asked) tamu.edu
- If you successfully connected, the word Connected should show up under TAMU_WiFi in your networks list.

TAMU_WiFi for iOS
- On your Home Screen, tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi is switched On. You will now see a list of available network choices. Tap TAMU_WiFi.
- You will now be asked to enter your NetID in the username field and your NetID password in the password field
- You will now be presented with a “Certificate” screen. Tap Accept or Trust.
- You have now connected to TAMU_WiFi. To verify your connection, look for a checkmark next to “TAMU_WiFi” under the list of available connections.
