Secondary NetID

Overview

A Secondary NetID Account is a separate NetID typically used to access restricted systems or system requiring elevated privileges. A Secondary NetID does not automatically come with any elevated privileges or access; system administrators will grant access to a Secondary NetID on an as-needed basis.

Secondary NetID accounts are tied to the regular NetID of the owner. Once the owner is no longer affiliated with Texas A&M University, the Secondary NetID will be disabled.

Requesting a Secondary NetID

Texas A&M employees can request a Secondary NetID account by completing the secondary NetID request form. The default form of a Secondary NetID is NetID-admin, though it can be changed prior to submission.

Managing a Secondary NetID

You can manage your Secondary NetID accounts on the Proxy Account Management page. This page is where you will set an change the password for your Secondary NetID.
