Overview

PrinterLogic is the printing solution for campus members at Texas A&M Health. This article includes the steps to install and configure PrinterLogic for Windows.

PrinterLogic simplifies network printer management by automating printer mapping based on group and location. It allows campus members at Texas A&M Health to connect to printers independently, reducing IT support needs. By streamlining printer management and enabling direct computer-to-printer communication, PrinterLogic eliminates print server issues. This ensures easier, more reliable printer access for the campus community and helps Technology Services match users with the right printers.

Pull Printing for Students

Student printers have pull printing enabled, allowing students to send print jobs and release them when the student is at the printer. This ensures documents are printed securely and only when the student is present.

  1. Ensure you have installed a printer configured for student printing from PrinterLogic already. Send a print job to the installed printer following the normal steps for your operating system.
  2. In the pop up window that appears after clicking Print, click either Release or Hold.

  5. Hover the mouse over Pull Printing and select Print Job Management.
  6. Click on the document in queue that you would like to print. Click Release
  7. The document should print and be available for pickup at the selected printer.

FAQs

How do I have my printer mapped automatically for everyone in my group?

Submit a request to the Health Technology Care Team with the city/building/floor/name of the printer and which group of people should have the printer connected automatically.

Can my printer be hidden so that other people cannot connect to it?

Yes. Send a request to the Health Technology Care Team with the city/building/floor/name of the printer, which people need access, and a note that it should be hidden.
