Overview
Campus members may request long-term administrative privileges on single-user, state-issued devices. Requests for access must be accompanied by a Business Justification and Business Impact statement. Justification and Impact should demonstrate a need that exists that cannot be completely satisfied by Technology Services or AdminbyRequest (e.g., a lab where a researcher may have a persistent need to elevate privileges outside of “normal” business hours).
NOTE: Shared-use machines such as those found in labs, classrooms, and clinics are to be addressed through Technology Services on a case-by-case basis.
NOTE: Occasional administrative privileges for single-user workstations are satisfied by AdminByRequest (Windows) or Privileges (macOS), which are already installed on TAMU Health computers.
