Microsoft Teams - Unable to Sign in (Desktop App)

Overview

If you are unable to sign in to the Microsoft Teams Desktop App it could be possible that the previous Teams update is causing authentication errors. 

Instructions

If you are experiencing these authentication errors please follow the steps below: 

  • Right click in the system toolbar and "Exit" Teams. 
  • In the Windows search bar type %appdata% and select "Open" under the App Data Folder. 
  • Select "Roaming" folder. 
  • Select "Microsoft" folder. 
  • Select "Teams" folder. 
  • Delete the settings .json file

You should now be able to log into Teams using the New Authentication Method.
