TAMU-OAL - Print Charges

Print Charges

Your current print balance will show on the AggiePrint website. If you are using an OAL computer to print, a pop-up screen will show your balance every time. You can also sign in to a printer Kiosk to see your print balance.

Student Printing

Each student receives a $30 print allocation each semester (Fall and Spring), and $15 for the whole summer. This allocation may be used for any type of printing, such as black-and-white and color printing. We only offer Letter (8.5X11), Tabloid (11x17), and Legal (8.5X14) sizes for printing both black-and-white and color. You can also use your allocation to plotter print.

In order to print more than what is covered by the print allocation, students must add funds to their account by visiting https://print.tamu.edu. When a student prints something using the OAL computer, a pop-up appears containing the cost of the current print job, their remaining account balance, and an option to approve the print job.

Default print credits reset at the beginning of each semester and do not roll over into the following semester. Purchased credits that are added to your account will remain available until they are used or until you leave the university. Print jobs will use student print credits before using purchased print credits.

Students Printing for Professors

Students needing to print on departmental accounts must have the departmental account setup on their account.

When a student has a departmental authorization, they may select the departmental account when releasing the job on the printer Kiosk.

If students need to have print charges go to a departmental account, the department should email Account Services to request that the student be added to the departmental account.  Currently, this option only works on the plotter.

Faculty Printing

OAL print allocations are automatically created for faculty. Faculty charges will be billed to and paid for by the Associate Vice President for Academic Services.
