Overview
This article will guide you through attempting to install Windows alongside your Mac operating system (OS) on your machine using a process called Boot Camp. A Boot Camped Mac can take advantage of both macOS specific programs as well as Windows specific programs.
Before you begin, please take note of the following:
- You will need to be connected to the internet to perform the installation.
- Apple recommends having at least 64GB of free space.
- Back up your files before you begin. It is strongly recommended that you back up your files on a regular basis to help prevent data loss.
- If you experience data loss, Help Desk Central and Texas A&M cannot assist with data recovery services of any kind.
