How to Print from an Android Device Using the Pharos Print App

  1. From the Google Play Store, download the Pharos Print App (free). [fig. 01]

  1. In the host box, enter: tamu.edu. In the port box, enter: 443. [fig. 02]

  1. In the login box, using your login credentials, enter your NetID and your NetID password. Then, tap Log On. [fig. 03]

  1. Once you have logged in, on your mobile device, locate the document that you wish to print. Open it, and tap the Share [fig. 04]

  1. Within the document, please find the Share In the case of an Android file folder, simply tap and hold the file until the following screen appears (to print more than one document, you may add multiple files by selecting the appropriate checkbox next to each file). [fig. 05]

  1. At the top of the screen, tap Share. Then, in the pop-up, tap Pharos Print. Please remember that you are not able to share links to Pharos Print. This means that the document must be on your device and cannot be accessed through cloud storage, such as Google Drive. [fig. 06]

  1. Once this is done, the Pharos Print App will automatically open. Alternatively, you may email your print materials to aggieprint@tamu.edu.
  1. If you see your document in the Job List, that means your file is uploaded to AggiePrint. If you wish to make additional changes, in the bottom right corner, tap on Print options. [fig. 07]

  1. Before configuring the file’s print settings (B/W or color, single or duplexing, pages per slide, and number of copies), you must first select the desired file’s checkbox. Then, make the necessary changes to your document, and the Job List will display the updated changes. [fig. 08]

  1. After you have uploaded all files and verified all changes, you may now log off. From the top left corner, tap the Settings Then, tap Log Off. [fig. 09]

  1. To release the print job(s), please visit any of the on campus print kiosk stations.
