Security Certificates

Overview

Texas A&M University subscribes to the InCommon Certificate Service, which provides unlimited server and client certificates to higher education institutions. The service provides SSL/TLS certificates, which secure communications to and from an Internet host and allow systems to verify the host's identity. Sectigo, a leading commercial provider of certificates, is the certificate authority for the InCommon Certificate Service. It is strongly recommended that services utilize certificate automation via ACME where possible to avoid preventable service disruptions caused by expired SSL/TLS certificates.
