Overview
This article provides instructions on adding a passkey to your Duo account through Windows Hello, Touch ID, or other platform authenticators.
NOTE: Although this is a viable method for Duo authentication, any issues with setup may cause a non-functioning passkey to be created for your account. If this is the only method of authentication on your account, this will prevent you from being able to access your TAMU account. Duo Mobile or hardware tokens are the preferred methods of authentication. Passkey Setup

Navigate to duo.tamu.edu and log in using your NetID credentials.

NOTE: If you require a bypass code to authenticate, please contact Help Desk Central by phone at (979) 845-8300. You may be asked to visually verify your identity, so please have a form of photo ID prepared.

On the Duo Device Management page, select “Add a device” and then, depending on the device that is used to access the page:

Windows Hello

Touch ID

Device Verification

Follow the instructions provided to set up a passkey with your device:

Click “Continue” after making your selection. Your device will prompt you to use your face, fingerprint, or a PIN.

After your device has completed verification, click “Continue” on the new prompt. Your passkey will now be created.
