Howdy - Access Error FAQ

Not an authorized user

Faculty and Staff Members of TAMU, TAMUG and TAMUQ are automatically granted access to Howdy. If a campus member cannot access Howdy, they can email eis-security@tamu.edu and ask who the Compass Authorizing Agent is for their department.

Employees of other Units have to be added to Compass as an Advisor, Associate or Instructor by an Academic department to gain access to Howdy

Access Denied

Clearing cache and cookies regardless of the web browser should resolve this issue. Instructions can be found here.

Invalid Credentials

You can reset your password at https://password.tamu.edu. Instruction on resetting your password can be found here.
