Using a common naming convention for endpoints in the TAMU Globus Subscription helps to quickly find endpoints to connect to.

TAMU Globus Naming Convention

Personal Endpoints

For personal endpoints, such as a desktop computer, the naming convention is in the format

TAMU [NAME] [LOCATION]

Ex 1: TAMU Joe Aggie Office

Ex 2: TAMU Jane Aggie Laptop

Service Endpoints

For services or servers, the naming convention is in the format

TAMU [Service Locator/Service Owner]

Ex 1: TAMU OneDrive AWS

Ex 2: TAMU HPRC Data Repository
